Setting up a dedicated server in WHMCS

  1. Enter in a dedicated server as normal in WHMCS, then pull up the products and services section for that dedicated server.  You’ll notice a few new fields: Switch & Port, Monthly Bandwidth Limit, Cost for Bandwidth Overage, Dedicated Connections, Per Mbps Cost, and Limit Mbps.  By default your Monthly Bandwidth Limit and Cost for Bandwidth Overage are what you set when you installed the CactiStats plug-it; however, you may change it here on a case-by-case basis.
  2. After you’ve added a switch into WHMCS you should see that switch in the Switch & Port fields of a dedicated server.  Simply select the switch and port your dedicated server is connected to.  Your changes will be saved automatically.
  3. If the port is suspended by default, scroll down and click the Unsuspend button.  This is also a good way to test if the switch is configured properly.
